The Florida Gators are currently steam rolling the SEC. They're 8-0, and the closest anyone has played them is 14 points. They are winning by an average of 26.5 points. They don't have a single game left on their schedule where they aren't predicted by Pomeroy to be a double digit favorite.
They have the No. 2 offense in the nation and the best defense. In conference play they're No. 1 in both. Their 3-pt% is higher (39.1%) than their opponent's 2-pt% (38.8%).
In other words, they're pretty good. Which is the opposite of the SEC. The SEC is awful, and Pomeroy currently has it ranked behind every BCS conference plus the Mountain West. So while they might get tested between here and March, it's not exactly preparing them for the NCAA Tournament.

Gators move up to No. 2
The Gators continue to climb in the polls every week as the wins keep coming. After a blowout of South Carolina and a 14-point win over Ole Miss last week, Florida climbed from No. 4 to No. 2 in both polls this week. The 14-point win for the Gators was the closest game in conference action they've played this year.
Boynton maturing through career
Kenny Boynton came to Gainesville four years ago billed as one of the top high school players in the country. Before starting his senior year, Boynton even admitted that he never imagined he would play at Florida for four years. His game has changed while being a four-year starter for the Gators, as he recorded his first career ten-assist game in a win over Ole Miss on Saturday.
