Our weekly feature tracking the performance of Michigan players over the last week’s action.
Trey Burke: 9.5 (Last Week: 9.5)
Michigan’s star point guard continues to lead the offense through both his scoring ability and his passing. Burke had an uncharacteristic three turnovers against Arkansas on Saturday, but given that modus operandi of the Razorback defense is forcing turnovers, that number looks a lot worse than it actually was. He led the Wolverines in scoring against Binghamton on Tuesday with 19 points, and his offensive rating of just under 127 continues to lead all Wolverines not named Nik Stauskas. Burke is what makes the Michigan offense go.
Glenn Robinson III: 8 (Last Week: 6.25)
Robinson was at his efficient best against Arkansas. The talented forward led Michigan in scoring with 17 points on just 11 shots and shot 2-of-3 from long range. Robinson just has a way of moving without the ball and finding open areas of the defense, but credit also goes t...

The #3 ranked Michigan Wolverines (10-0) will play on a neutral site (the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn) against West Virginia on Saturday night. Tip is set for 8 pm and the game will be televised on ESPN.
At the time that this matchup was put together it looked awfully intriguing. The marquee read John Beilein taking on the school where he first stamped his...
Michigan basketball, ranked #3 in the country, steamrolled a weak Binghamton team by a final score of 67-39. The game was never in doubt as the Bearcats scored just 14 points in the first half and Michigan exerted their will in a game where they didn’t play their most effective basketball.
3 Stars of the Game
Trey Burke – Burke had another great night, going 8-12...
West Virginia enters Saturday’s game against Michigan in Brooklyn with plenty of issues. The Mountaineers have had significant trouble scoring points this season, with an effective field goal percentage of just 42. Their 3-point shooting percentage is among the worst in the country at 26 percent. They have lost to Gonzaga — badly, Davidson, Oklahoma and, most recently, Duquesne...
@TKBigCrew Which ’13 recruit has the greatest opportunity to make an impact as a freshman?
The easy answer is Derrick Walton. Walton is a great prospect and likely to contend for the Mr. Basketball award in the state of Michigan plus Trey Burke is a likely NBA early entry candidate. Combine those two facts with the amount of freedom that John Beilein allows his...
Tim Hardaway Jr. started the season doing pretty much everything well, even winning MVP honors at the NIT Tip-Off. Recently, however, Hardaway has been experiencing some of the same trouble he experienced around this time last season. Namely, his shots aren’t falling.
Over Michigan’s past two games, Hardaway has shot just 3-of-13 from long range. However, the junior said that...
Nik Stauskas had another nice shooting performance from long range versus Binghamton, going 4/8 from behind the arc. That said, the Michigan freshman has noticed more attention coming his way from the opposition. After the Wolverines' 67-39 victory over Binghamton Stauskas discussed his team's oncourt chemistry, expanding his offensive attack, and more.
Michigan Head Coach John Beilein is being as realistic as possible when it comes to his Wolverines. Despite the 10-0 start, he says, setbacks are bound to come.
Trey Burke scored 19 points and freshman Nik Stauskas added 12 to lead No. 3 Michigan to a 67-39 victory over Binghamton on Tuesday night.
The Wolverines (10-0) are off to their best start since their national title season of 1988-89, and this win was every bit the mismatch it looked like before the opening tip. The Bearcats (2-9) were coming off a 22-point loss to Bryant. They...

While this game was not even remotely competitive, John Beilein stressed that the coaching staff was still able to learn a lot and come away with things to work on in practice. Similarly, we can glean something from these plays even though it was sometimes hard to pinpoint any that could be called “key”...

Michigan cruised to its 10th straight victory of the season on Tuesday evening with a 67-39 victory over Binghamton. The Bearcats succeeded at taking the air out of the basketball, slowing the game down to just 58 possessions, but the game was never competitive after the second media timeout. Michigan’s defense was strong and helped...
