Fresno St. 76, Cal Poly 67

Kevin Foster had 28 points and nine rebounds as Fresno State beat its third Big West Conference opponent in the last six days, defeating Cal Poly 76-67 Monday night. Kevin Olekaibe added 20 points and Allen Huddleston had 14 for the Bulldogs (3-1), who also have victories over Pacific and UC Riverside. Cal Poly (1-2) got 14 points from Chris Eversley, 12 from Dylan Royer and 10 from Jamal Johnson. Fresno State shot 55 percent from the floor, hit 9 of 18 3-pointers and was 15 for 18 from the free-throw line while outrebounding the Mustangs 31-22. The Bulldogs used a 13-2 run - getting seven points from Foster and six from Olekaibe - en route to a 37-30 halftime lead. Cal Poly got within 48-44 with 12:12 remaining, but Olekaibe's 3-pointer with 9:56 left pushed the lead back to double digits.
