By Steve Etter Miami Bureau Reporter Kenny Kadji and the U are flying high/ miamihearld.com As the midwest #2 seed Miami Hurricanes (28-6, 15-3 ACC) practiced on Saturday, the fire alarm went off in the arena and delayed their practice for 25 minutes. It could've went off because the Hurricanes are on fire. The Hurricanes demolished Pacific on Friday 78-49.  Miami's senior guard Durand Scott (13.5 ppg) had 21 points on Friday and led the Hurricanes to the easy victory. The Hurricanes play #7 seed Illinois Fighting Illini (23-12, 8-10 Big Ten) on Sunday, March 24 at approximately 8:40 pm. Led by senior guard Brandon Paul (16.6 ppg), the Fighting Illini beat #10 seed Colorado 57-49. Paul had 17 points against Colorado. For the Hurricanes to continue on to the Sweet Sixteen, they will need to have Scott and sophomore guard Shane Larkin continue to be on fire.
