The high flying FGCU Eagles play Oklahoma on Sunday/
When I looked at the game matchup last Friday, I saw how the #15 seed Florida Gulf Coast University (FCGU) (25-10, 13-5 A-Sun) Eagles could get an upset over # 2 seed Georgetown Hoyas (25-7, 14-4 Big East) 78-68. After shocking the basketball world, the Eagles will play the #7 seed San Diego State Aztecs (23-10, 9-7 MWC) on Sunday, March 24 at 7:10 pm in Philadelphia. The game will be on TBS.
For the Eagles to be victorious on Sunday night, they’ll need senior guard Sherwood Brown (15.5 ppg) and sophomore guard Bernard Thompson (14.3 ppg) to continue playing at their high level. Brown had 24 points and 9 rebounds and Thompson who had 23 points in the win over the Hoyas Friday night.
