Kansas, currently the #6 ranked team in the country, had a little bit of a scare last night against Iowa State. Holding only a four point lead at the half, the Jayhawks had to battle from start to finish in what ended up as a 97-89 overtime thriller over the Cyclones. We could blabber on about Ben McLemore and his 33 points but that’s what ESPN is for. Instead we give you Jayhawks sexy superfan Ellen.
Ellen seems to be the perfect weapon. She loves her KU sports, has modeled for the Women Of KU bikini calendar and is even a broadcast journalism major. Future Erin Andrews, anyone?
She also seems to be a little frisky judging by her tweets about the National Championship game. First, she tweeted this the day after the game:
Then, last night, the ESPN cameras spotted Ellen and a friend and gave them some serious airtime. To that, Ellen had this to say:
In all seriousness, if these modeling and Instagram photos are any inclination, this girl should be working the sid...

Kansas red shirt freshman Ben McLemore was caught celebrating in the locker room after his 22 point performance and a
big win for Kansas over Ohio State
74-66. I think I would take his dance skills over his basketball skills personally.

ROCK CHALK, JAYHAWK
Kansas’ Ben McLemore is my new hero, and his dance will surely catch on faster than the dougie. McLemore had just drained a game tying three-pointer to send his Jayhawks into overtime against Iowa State. Kansas took that momentum into overtime to win 97-89, and then the celebration began. Check out the easy candidate for dance of the year, and yes we realize that it is only...

McLemore was 10 of 12 from the field and perfect on six 3-pointers for the Jayhawks (13-1, 1-0 Big 12), who scored the first nine points of overtime to wrap up their 12th straight win.
I think I’ve watched this GIF of the Kansas Jayhawks dancing after their victory over Ohio State between 15-17 times before I could pull myself away to write about it. WritingBareBack, who found this GIF, gives an amazing breakdown of all the players involved. Besides #23 Ben McLemore, my favorite dude to watch is the goofy white guy in the back rocking side-to-side! ...

Iowa State led sixth-ranked Kansas by three in the waning seconds at Allen Fieldhouse, and Cyclones coach Fred Hoiberg decided to play it out rather than commit a foul.
Ben McLemore made him pay for the decision.
Kansas ran the play that forced overtime in the 2008 national title game, and McLemore banked in a 3-pointer from the wing to tie the game with a single second left. The...

Trey Burke? Mason Plumlee? Ben McLemore?
All are great, but only one can win college hoops' Player of the Year award. And they have a lot of competition.
The midseason Wooden Award watch list was released Thursday, identifying 25 frontrunners in the race for the most prestigious honor.
