The second day/night slate of the National Basketball Association is even smaller than the first one, with just two games to be played. But as will be the case throughout the year, if there is a game on there will probably be a former UNC Basketball player lacing them up. And, if that is the case, the following day there will be a “Heels in the Pro’s: NBA Style” recap, just like this one. So, without any further interruptions, let’s check out the slate for 10/06/13…
In the one game with a former North Carolina in it it’s the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Denver Nuggets at the STAPLES Center. The game was played in front of a crowd of 16,722 and televised by NBATV. For the mile high city it’s the speedster Ty Lawson, who started at the point and played 27 minutes in all. In that time the fifth year pro scored a game high 15 points (7 for 10 ~ 0 for 1 ~ 1 for 4) to go with a game high 10 rebounds, a team high six assists, a steal and a TO while having a plus/minus of +11. As far as the game was concerned it was Denver taking this one by the final of 97 to 88. With the win the Nuggets are 1 and 0 on the pre-season and will play their next game on 10/08/13 when they take on the Lakers once again.
