Kansas has been picked to finish right where it usually does in the Big 12.
Despite losing the Morris twins, Josh Selby and several other contributors from last season's team, the Jayhawks were made the preseason co-favorites along with Texas A&M on Thursday in voting by media that regularly covers the conference.
It's the 11th time since the league was formed in 1996-97 that the Jayhawks have been picked preseason No. 1.
Kansas, which has gone on to win the Big 12 title the past seven seasons, has a few building blocks back in senior guard Tyshawn Taylor and juniors Thomas Robinson, Travis Releford and Elijah Johnson. But the Jayhawks will be forced to count on a few guys who didn't play much last season and a recruiting class that has two top players facing eligibility questions.
