Jeffrey Jordan, mostly known as Michael Jordan’s son, has quit the basketball team at the University of Illinois to concentrate on his academics. The 6-1 guard went to Illinois as a walk-on but then earned a scholarship spot last semester. He was expected to have regular minutes as a junior next season. Jordan averaged 8.4 minutes as a sophomore He had 58 points, 42 assists and 24 rebounds in his 59-game Illinois career.
