If the UConn Huskies are to repeat as national champions, they'll be forced to do so without Kemba Walker, who was perhaps the best player in the country last season. Walker, of course, was selected ninth overall in this year's draft by the Charlotte Bobcats. But even though the UConn standout will be missed, head coach Jim Calhoun and Co. are confident they'll be able to continue playing at a high level. NESN's Jayme Parker caught up with the Huskies, and they emphasized the team's depth and experience when discussing why they'll once again be a force to be reckoned...

Kemba Walker Gets Back to His Roots in New Under Armour Commercial (Video)

Kemba Walker came seemingly out of nowhere to burst onto the national scene last year as he led the UConn Huskies to the national title last year. And while it may have seemed like he came out of nowhere, Walker isn't going to forget any time soon where he came from. The Charlotte Bobcats guard was recently featured in a Under Armour commercial in which he went back to the Bronx...

Huskies stretch streak to 16

Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun had some high praise for UNC Asheville. ''Overall, a win is a win,'' Calhoun said after No. 4 Connecticut run its winning streak to 16 games with a 73-63 victory over UNC Asheville on Thursday night in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis. ''But no one's played us even near that hard since we played Butler last year....

No. 4 Connecticut blows big lead in loss to UCF

This one was particularly painful for Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun. Connecticut finished with 13 turnovers in its first loss since March 5 against Notre Dame. The defending national champions...

UConn beats UNC-A in Bahamas

A year ago, the season began with few certainties, not much in the way of expectations after a disappointing 2009, and no idea that Kemba Walker would become Kemba Walker by the time it was all said and done. Now, after a 73-63 Thanksgiving victory over UNC-Asheville in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas, the Huskies are 5-0, and winners of 16...

UNC Asheville-UConn Preview

Most teams long to have tournament experience to carry over from season to season. No team, though, has tournament success to lean on like Connecticut. The fourth-ranked Huskies headline the eight-team Battle 4 Atlantis at Paradise Island in the Bahamas, where they open play Thursday night against North Carolina-Asheville. Connecticut (4-0) was at its best last season in must...

Florida St.-UConn Preview

As the only ranked teams in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas, Connecticut and Florida State probably expected to meet in the championship game. Instead, both teams were stunned in the semifinals and the fourth-ranked Huskies and No. 22 Seminoles will play Saturday for third place. Connecticut (5-1) saw its 16-game win streak end with Friday's 68-63 loss to Central...
