OMAHA, Neb — Excitement is in the air for the Duquesne Men’s Basketball Team following a 71-67 NCAA Tournament triumph over BYU Thursday afternoon at CHI Health Center.

The victory is Duquesne’s first in the NCAA Tournament since 1969 and coach Keith Dambrot’s first in four individual tries, the prior three during his time with Akron.

This excitement was enjoyed by many Duquesne faithful who traveled across the country. Locally there were watch parties all around Pittsburgh including on campus at the Power Center where 1,000 fans included students, student-athletes, faculty and government officials.

Parts of the closing portion of the game were shown on the PPG Paints Arena jumbotron and when the game went final, many fans erupted in celebration.

PSN’s Zac Weiss hopped on 93.7 The Fan to chat with Donny Football to discuss the win and impact it had on the program.
