New Mexico turned back another late rally by an opponent – this time Top 25 Connecticut – defeating the Huskies 66-60 to win the Paradise Jam tournament title in the U.S. Virgin Islands late Monday night.
Junior Kendall Williams score 16 points to lead the Lobos as UNM countered a late 11-0 run by UConn with a 9-0 run of their own in the final two minutes of the game.

Junior Tony Snell hit a three-pointer with 1.8 second left to lift New Mexico over George Mason 70-69 Sunday afternoon in the semifinals of the Paradise Jam tournament in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
