Louisville will play in their third consecutive Big East tournament championship game on Saturday evening. Rick Pitino’s team never trailed against Notre Dame, cruising to a comfortable 69-57 win over Notre Dame. Peyton Siva and Russ Smith both broke school records in Louisville’s win. Siva is now the school’s all time leader in steals, passing Darrell Griffith. He officially finished with seven tonight and has 229 in his career. Russ Smith became Louisville’s all time leader in free throws in a season. Siva and Smith combined for 32 points and 12 assists tonight. Siva continued his hot shooting, finishing with 12-points and connecting on two of four three point attempts. Siva also added six assists. He is five of six on three point attempts in the Big East tournament. Russ Smith picked up where he left off last night, finishing with game high 20-points.
