I realize Louisville faced a much inferior opponent this afternoon in Miami (OH), but regardless, the performance we saw this afternoon was pretty damn impressive.
The improvement in shooting from Thursday to today obviously helped, but it wasn’t just the shooting that helped Louisville cruise to a — beat down. In regards to the outside shooting, I don’t expect to Louisville to be as hot as they were today, but knocking down — showed that this team isn’t nearly as bad as their first two games indicated.
They’ll have games where they’ll hit 5-to-6, but they’re also capable of making 10-to-12 if they continue to get open looks.
Miami (OH) decided early on that they’d try to play an up-tempo style with Louisville, which proved to be a huge mistake. I think a lot of teams are going to have a tough time matching Louisville in the open court.
