I hope everyone realizes how big of a win that was for Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals. They fought back from 16-points down in the first half and despite being banged up from top to bottom; they did what they had to in order to win. Memphis isn’t ranked despite being in the top 15 in the preseason, but that was a talented team Louisville beat today, 87-78. Head coach Josh Pastner may be the biggest problem for the Memphis basketball program, but either way, Louisville beat a very talented team today. Despite no Gorgui Dieng, a banged up and one legged Stephan Van Treese and Russ Smith playing with a sprained ankle, Louisville pulled through shooting 38-46 from the free throw line. Chane Behanan led the Cards with 22 total points and played huge down the stretch. Russ Smith and Peyton Siva added 19 apiece this afternoon.
