Michigan State coach Tom Izzo says his next team has a chance to be pretty good if everyone comes back. Of course, that's a pretty big if. Adreian Payne might decide to go pro, and Izzo says he will do his due diligence for the 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward. Izzo plans to poll NBA teams to ask where Payne would be drafted in June if he chooses to skip his senior season. If Payne decides to return, the Spartans likely will lose only departing senior center Derrick Nix. Payne, Keith Appling, Gary Harris and Branden Dawson would be the returning starters from a team that was eliminated by Duke on Friday night in the regional semifinals. Michigan State (27-9) tied for second in the Big Ten and won two games in the NCAA tournament.

Payne's growth paying off in NCAA tourney

Adreian Payne has lived life in the shadows the past three seasons at Michigan State. Michigan State fans: STOP BURNING THINGS IN THE STREET!

Michigan State Fans Take a Page Out of West Virginia's Playbook

At the end of the game Friday night the fans of the Michigan State Spartans were not too happy. Their beloved team had lost, 71-61, to the Duke Blue Devils. They didn't play poorly; Duke's Seth Curry was just lights out hitting 8 of 17 shots including 6 of 9 from behind the arc for 29 points. Don't get me wrong; they kept it close, but close only counts in horseshoes...
