Marcos Knight scored 17 points and Middle Tennessee defeated North Carolina-Greensboro 82-60 on Saturday night. JT Sulton added 16 points, Shawn Jones 12 and Bruce Massey 11 for the Blue Raiders (4-0) in the Maui Invitational. Middle Tennessee led 29-27 at halftime, before shooting 60 percent in the second half (15 of 25). After going 1 of 3 from 3-point range in the first half, the Blue Raiders were 5 of 10 from long range in the second, as they outscored the Spartans 55-33. The Blue Raiders came up with 13 steals, led by Massye, Knight and Kerry Hammonds with three each, as UNC Greensboro turned it over 23 times compared to 10 assists. Middle Tennessee tallied 14 assists and 14 turnovers. Aloysius Henry led the Spartans (1-3) with 12 points and Korey Van Dussen had 11. UNC Greensboro was just 9 of 18 from the free-throw line.
