With Louisville hitting the road on Tuesday to take on DePaul, Rick Pitino held his weekly radio show on Monday evening. It was a pretty standard broadcast from Coach Pitino and the voice of the Cardinals, Paul Rogers.
When taking questions from the audience, one fan asked Pitino why Wayne Blackshear and Luke Hancock both appear to play better when coming off of the bench. Without giving much of a comment on Hancock, Pitino didn’t shy away from acknowledging Blackshear’s consistency issues this season.
“It’s all consistency with Wayne,” says Pitino. “He commits a lot of silly fouls. It’s all because of foul trouble. Wayne has to stay aggressive for him to play well and he can’t do that when he’s in foul trouble.”
