Mizzou basketball landed yet another big name transfer today with the addition of former Baylor forward Deuce Bello. Terez Paylor confirmed the news on Twitter today. Just got off the phone with former Baylor SF Deuce Bello. As @gabedearmond first reported, Bello has decided to transfer to #Mizzou. — Terez A. Paylor (@TerezPaylor) May 20, 2013 Bello will have to sit out next year before he is eligible to play for the 2014-15 season. Tigers coach Frank Haith will most likely look for an immediate impact out of Bello, who was a four-star prospect and ranked as one of the top forwards in the nation coming out of high school. Bello was never able to become much of a contributor with the Bears, averaging just over 10 minutes per game in his first two seasons. He committed to Baylor along with his high school teammate Quincy Miller, but it was Miller who became a star, not Bello. At the end of this past season, Bello decided to transfer to a school where he could get more playing time. It appears that Mizzou was his choice. A lot of people are mad at the decision I made..
