In case you forgot, Mike Rice was the Rutgers head coach who was recently fired for physically and verbally abusing his basketball players. One of the questions that many people have is, can he ever rebound from this scandal? Well, it appears he already has picked up a new job — coaching young girls basketball. Yes, that’s right – according to Brain Geltzeiler of HoopsCritic, Rice is now coaching 7th grade girls.  It’s insane that Mike Rice is coaching a 7th grade girls AAU team out of Neptune NJ 2 weeks after those tapes went public…SMH…. — Brian Geltzeiler (@hoopscritic) April 14, 2013 Just to clarify.I’m not joking.Mike Rice is actually coaching a 7th grade girls AAU team today and he’s still acting like a mad man…. — Brian Geltzeiler (@hoopscritic) April 14, 2013 Here’s what the Twitter world is saying about this new hire: Mike Rice was fired for berating a men’s college basketball team but is still allowed to coach 12-year-old girls. Just soak that in. — Connor Kiesel (@ConnorKiesel) April 15, 2013 Mike Rice is coaching a 12 year old girls AAU team… lmao… the parents are also ok with it. #whatisthisworldcomingto — David Robb (@D_Robb13) April 15, 2013 Have to say, I really want to know what the parents of these girls are thinking. Not sure I’d want to have a daughter playing for Rice.
