Kevin Foster scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, to help Santa Clara beat CS Northridge 71-58 Saturday night. Niyi Harrison added 10 points and matched his career high with 11 rebounds for the Broncos (5-2), who got their fourth win in five games. Evan Roquemore, who came in averaging 17 points per game, was limited to 11. Stephan Hicks scored 18 points to lead the Matadors (1-6) but fouled out of the game with 1:17 remaining. Vinnie McGhee added 11 points. Josh Greene hit a 3-pointer with 14:03 remaining to bring the Matadors within five, 49-44. The Broncos responded with an 11-4 run to go up 60-48, and Northridge never got closer than eight points after that. Santa Clara led at halftime, 38-34. The Broncos improved to 3-0 all-time against the Matadors. Northridge fell to 0-5 on the road.
