During a week in which Miami picked up two road conference victories that catapulted them to No. 8 in The Associated Press poll, Hurricanes sophomore Shane Larkin was named the ACC Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Larkin averaged 19 points, four assists, four steals and three rebounds while hitting 60.9 percent of his shots during the two-game span.
Larkin's play helped push the Hurricanes' winning streak to nine, and they remain unbeating atop the ACC, already with victories against Duke and NC State. Up next this week, Miami has home games against Boston College on Tuesday and North Carolina on Saturday.
Boston College's Joe Rahon was named the conference's Rookie of the Month.
