Days after news broke that he was accused of sexual assault and rape back in August, Missouri Tigers suspended senior guard Michael Dixon has decided to transfer.
In a statement released by the school on Thursday night, Dixon made it clear that transferring was in the best interest of himself and the team.
"It's been a challenging few months and while I appreciate the support of many in the Mizzou community, including my coaches and teammates, it's in the best interest of me, my family and the University of Missouri for me to finish my career elsewhere."
The news also comes hours after the St. Louis Post-Dispatch learned of another incident involving Dixon and a young female in yet another possible sexual assault accusation that was dropped without charges.
Dixon leaves after averaging 13.5 points per game as junior.
Dixon had bee suspended indefinitely by the the University because of the more recent allegations.
