What follows below is almost powerful enough to make me very sentimental about the upcoming holidays. Almost.  It certainly makes me wish I were a T-Mobile customer instead of U.S. Cellular. Although that’s not entirely true as in the next month I’m about to treat U.S. Cellular the way Eric Gordon treated the Illini, and looking at Verizon the way Gordon looked at the Indiana Hoosiers. Anyway “our girl” Carly Foulkes is back with a new Christmas ad shot just an hour’s drive away from TSB Global HQ at Woodfield Mall in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Foulkes is not the star in this spot, shot on December 1st. She doesn’t even show up until the 2:30 mark. But there are 99 other women in this video with her in hot but classy lavender? cerulean? dark pink/light purple gowns. The best part is no matter what your taste is in women, they’ve got you covered. All races, all sizes, it’s like a United Colors of Benetton, with every color avail...

Don’t Drink & Yell

PGA Golfer, Jeff Overton, was just trying to keep up with the Bloomington tradition of getting trashed and having a good time. 11-0 start has merit, but work remains for Indiana

Do you remember the last Indiana team to start a season 11-0? Some of you may. Others, like myself, were not alive to witness it. The answer is the 1975-76 national championship team — also the last team in college basketball to finish undefeated. This year’s group of Hoosiers matched the feat last night with a 107-50 clubbing of Howard. An IU victory on Thursday against...

The Minute After: UMBC

Thoughts on a 89-47 win over the Retrievers: Indiana was getting good outside shots in the first half. The Hoosiers just weren’t hitting them against UMBC’s zone, as they only made 2-of-14 from 3-point range. Still, they were able to carry a 16-point lead into halftime by scoring 24 of their 37 points off UMBC turnovers. And by the time the second half rolled around...
