The Duke Blue Devils and the Pittsburgh Panthers will be a great match up this year; the only problem is that it will only be played once.  It will be a game at Pittsburgh on January 27.  This is another team that could compete for an ACC title this season.  This could be a big game for both teams since they won’t be able to play each other twice like most teams in the conference. The Blue Devils will have to go to Pittsburgh, and it will be the first season that they will play them as part of the ACC.  Pittsburgh has an experienced front court that will help them this season.  They will be ready to make a statement; they are going to compete for an ACC championship, and beating Duke early on in the ACC schedule is the way to do it. This is another game that Duke will try to run and get easy baskets.  They will have to look to speed up the game, and try to use their athletic advantage to create their offense.  This will not be easy, because Pittsburgh will be a good defensive team this season.  They will be able to play team defense, and will be in their prime form by the time they face the Blue Devils.  Quinn Cook will have to look to exploit Pittsburgh’s young guards, and lead this team offensively. The Blue Devils will try to turn over Pittsburgh, and try to get out in to a fast break.  This is where Duke will have to exploit Pittsburgh because of their young guards.  This is one team that doesn’t have the size difference over the Blue Devils in the ACC, so this won’t be much of a worry for Duke in this game, like it will in most of the others.  Duke will be able to play their small lineup with Amile Jefferson. This is an important game for both teams because both will look to make an ACC title run.  Pittsburgh has the easier schedule only playing Duke, North Carolina, and Notre Dame once which will help them finish a top of the ACC.  The Blue Devils have a tougher schedule and that could be a problem for them in this game, because they have a game at Syracuse the game after Pittsburgh.  This game is at Pittsburgh which will be the first game that Duke will visit Pittsburgh when they are in the ACC.  This might be a great matchup for the Blue Devils because they have the advantage in every matchup in this game.  However, this will be a loss for Duke because they are going on the road and will be looking ahead to Syracuse.  This is a game that will come down to the end of the game and giving any underdog a chance late in a game, at home and a big game is never a good thing.   This could be the first loss of the season for the Blue Devils.
