The Pittsburgh Panthers are the only team in the Big East that has yet to win a league game. Jamie Dixon’s team hasn’t won a game since Dec. 20 against St. Francis, but is surprisingly riding a small wave of confidence. The Panthers have played much better in the last couple of games and are finally getting healthy. Pitt played Syracuse nearly as tough as any team has all season. They also played very competitively with Marquette last week. Louisville and Pittsburgh are tied 5-5 in their previous 10 meetings. Three of the last four games have been decided in overtime. Three of the Cards’ losses to Pitt have come in the Big East Conference Tournaments. Pittsburgh is the only team in the Big East that Coach Pitino doesn’t have a winning record against since joining the league. Rick is just 5-9 all time against Pittsburgh.
