The Cardinal Connect:
Seton Hall Pirates
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals will play their first Big East road game this evening against the Seton Hall Pirates. Kevin Willard’s team is 13-3 on the season and 1-1 in league play. The Pirates are coming off a 93-74 loss to Notre Dame.
Both teams are currently going through some injures. Unfortunately for Seton Hall, they’ve had more bad luck with injuries than any team in the country. The Pirates will be without forward Patrik Auda (broken foot) who is out for the season, while forward Brian Oliver (ankle) and center Aaron Geramipoor (stress fracture right foot) aren’t expected to play tonight. Louisville will be without starting power forward Chane Behanan who is expected to miss seven-to-ten days with a sprained ankle.
Sophomore guard Aaron Cosby, a Louisville native, missed the season opener for Seton Hall with a sprained ACL, but has since returned and is really playing well. Cosby is averaging 22.5 points per game in his last two outings, connecting on 9-of-16 thr...

The road has not been kind to Marquette. Though the Golden Eagles have played just two true road games this season, the results in both have been dreadful. First came an 82-49 drubbing at the hands of then-No. 7 Florida. Two weeks later, Marquette struggled mightily in a 49-47 upset loss to UW-Green Bay.
Now, as Marquette prepares to play its Big East road opener Saturday at Pittsburgh...
