AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Chris Denson scored 17 points and Auburn used a 3-point barrage in the first half to ease past Arkansas-Pine Bluff 72-59 Monday night.
Denson hit 3 of 4 from long range. Kenny Gabriel had 16 points -- knocking down 2 of 4 3-pointers -- eight rebounds and five blocks, while Frankie Sullivan went 3 of 3 from long range with 14 points for the Tigers (4-0).
Auburn put the game away in the final 3:25 of the first half with a 20-2 run to take a 44-25 lead into halftime. Auburn hit seven straight shots during the spree, including five from 3-point range, with a Gabriel 3 with two seconds left capping off the run.
The Tigers shot 8 of 11 (72.7 percent) from 3-point range in the first half and finished 9 of 15 (60 percent) for the game.
Savalace Townsend led the Golden Lions (1-4) with 24 points.
