wvusports.com If you thought West Virginia’s basketball program was already having a tough year, things got much worse on Monday afternoon. And no, it wasn’t an April Fools joke either. Sophomore guards Jabarie Hinds and Aaron Brown and sophomore forward Volodymyr Gerun all plan to transfer, according to head coach Bob Huggins. Hinds, a 5-foot-11 player out of Mount Vernon, N.Y. and the most notable of the three guys, saw action in all 32 games this past season. The move comes as quite a surprise to WVU and its fans. It appears that some members of this year’s team didn’t like the playing time they received and felt like they could do better elsewhere. Aaron Brown on #WVU future: “I expect great things because those players I left behind were like brothers. I know what they’re capable of.” — Geoff Coyle (@GFCoyle) April 1, 2013 Aaron Brown: “I just never played. I’m not going to stick around if I’m not going to be playing.” #WVU — Geoff Coyle (@GFCoyle) April 1, 2013 Look at these alarming facts: In #WVU‘s 2009-11 recruiting classes, 8 out of 14 players transferred, were kicked off team or couldn’t play for medical reasons. — Michael Carvelli (@Carvelli3) April 1, 2013 Of the 7 players in #WVU‘s 2011 recruiting class, only Keaton Miles and Gary Browne are currently still on the team. — Michael Carvelli (@Carvelli3) April 1, 2013
