Top 10 Players: ACC C.J. Leslie  PF  NC State- 14.7pts. 7.3 reb. Leslie really appeared to come into his own last year, but still decided to stay in school and win a championship. He’s my early favorite for player of the year. James McAdoo  PF  North Carolina- 6.1 pts. 3.9 reb. McAdoo started slowly last year, but started to get comfortable late in the year. He will build off that confidence and be a 15 and 10 guy in his sophomore season. Michael Snaer  SG  Florida State- 14.0pts. 3.8reb. A very important two way player. He owns a deadly jumper and a fierce tenacity on defense, which is why Florida State has a chance to make a Final Four run. Lorenzo Brown  PG/SG  NC State- 12.7pts. 6.3ast. Brown has improved immensely over the last couple years, but still remains a little underrated. If he leads NC State to a national championship this year a lottery pick could be in his future. Mason Plumlee  PF  Duke- 11.1pts. 9.2 reb. Plumlee hasn’t developed at the rate everyone expected him to, but still shows flashes of brilliance. I don’t think his numbers will explode this year, but he will improve enough to get Duke to at least the Elite 8. Seth Curry  PG  Duke- 13.2pts. 2.6reb. Duke will need more out of Curry this season. He’s not as explosive as his brother, Stephan, but needs to average more than 2 assists per game this year. Reggie Bullock  SG  North Carolina- 8.8pts. 5.1 reb. Now a junior, it’s finally his turn to start and showcase his talents. Bullock could easily end up higher on this list by season’s end. The sky is the limit for this big, talented guard. Ryan Kelly  PF  Duke- 11.8pts. 5.4 reb. Kelly doesn’t really look like an elite athlete, but don’t underestimate this big man. He uses his frame to dominate down low, but his shooting range is his real value. Erick Green  SG  Virginia Tech- 15.6pts 3.3reb. Green has remained relatively unknown with Malcolm Delaney taking up most of the spotlight for them, but he’s a star in his own right. He’s a solid all around player that could work his way into a second round draft pick. Kenny Kadji  PF  Miami- 11.7pts. 5.3reb. I really like Kadji’s game. He dominated early last year then ran out of gas a bit. I expect him to come back with a better understanding of how to condition himself for a full season and completely dominate this year. Top 5 Freshmen Rasheed Sulaimon SG Duke- A crafty wing that has a real chance to start this year and make a big impact. Rodney Purvis  SG  NC State- Strong, athletic wing that will likely start for them this year. Tyler Lewis  PG  NC State- He will be an explosive exciting college player one day. Cut from the Drew Neitzel mold. Marcus Paige  PG  North Carolina- He will likely see a lot of minutes at point guard this year, but can he handle it? Alex Murphy  PF  Duke- Redshirted last year, but was a top 15 recruit, and he fits Coach K’s system perfectly.
