Kendall Timmons had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Josh Davis contributed 10 points and 14 rebounds Saturday to lead Tulane to a 53-42 victory over Texas-Pan American. The duo combined for more than half of the Green Wave's points in a low-scoring game. Tulane (11-2) led 21-19 at halftime despite shooting only 28 percent from the field. The Broncs (4-11) struggled even more, hitting 24 percent. UTPA ended up at 28 percent for the game, making just 14 of 50. Tulane improved in the second half, making 52 percent (14 of 27) to finish the game at 39 percent from the outside. Brandon Provost was the only Bronc to hit double figures with 11 points. He had three of Pan American's five 3-pointers.

Timmons Makes History as Green Wave Win

Kendall Timmons and Josh Davis each posted double doubles and Timmons made history for the Tulane men's basketball team in a 53-42 victory over Texas-Pan American on Saturday afternoon to close out the 2011 year at the UTPA Field House.
