Google Glass made a fan out of Victor Oladipo, but the No. 2 overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft didn’t love the product so much that he wanted to make enemies with his new employers. Oladipo wore Google Glass for three days before the draft for The Verge. He met his fellow draft picks on the bus on the way to the Barclays Center and did some green room interviews with the innovative product. However, when it came time for Oladipo to walk across the stage on Thursday and shake David Stern‘s hand after being selected by the Orlando Magic, the guard was no longer wearing the glasses with a built-in camera. Oladipo was asked by the NBA to remove the glasses before the draft began. Unfortunately, that means we don’t have a first-person perspective of what it’s like to be taken No. 2 overall in the draft. The NBA told the former Indiana Hoosier that “the people on the other side,” didn’t want the newest Magic star to wear the glasses. It’s unclear why the NBA made the decision. Check out ...

Indiana’s Victor Oladipo wore Google Glasses to the NBA Draft

The Orlando Magic selected Indiana’s Victor Oladipo with the second pick of the NBA Draft. Instead of wearing your typical outfit to the NBA Draft at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn on Thursday, Oladipo sported a $1,500 pair of Google Glass. Oladipo rocks the Google Glass, which can take pictures and film video without ever having to use your hands, very well.
