Found April 22, 2013 on Bush League Chronicle:
University of Miami point guard Shane Larkin comes from a rather athletic family. His dad, Barry, starred for the Cincinnati Reds and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame last year after a terrific MLB career.Naturally, the youngest Larkin has been given some of his dad's good genes, but those genes haven't exactly led to the excellence you might be thinking of.The Hurricanes baseball team hosted the Clemson Tigers over the weekend and trotted out Shane, the ACC Player of the Year, to throw out the first pitch. As you can see, the toss didn't go so well, as Larkin delivered the ball well out of the reach of his catcher. He even lets out a little sound of frustration while delivering the pitch. My guess is that he was already thinking about the ribbing he is bound to receive from his father.Nonetheless, the younger Larkin appears to be on the right track for a pro career, just not in baseball. He has a good chance to be selected in the upcoming NBA Draft if he decides to enter. However, he has until April 28, which is the deadline for underclassmen to declare, to make his decision.Via Eye on College Basketball

Video: Miami basketball star Shane Larkin throws awful first pitch at Miami baseball game

Tweet We’ve gotten pretty accustomed to seeing non-baseball players throwing atrocious first pitches at baseball games. In fairness, they aren’t going to college or getting paid to play baseball, so it’s weird that we would expect that of them. However, University of Miami basketball star Shane Larkin has a little less of an excuse for [...]

Looking at the Class of 2013 ACC Commitments

Outside of 2 players decisions, the ACC's landscape seems to be pretty much set.  Shane Larkin still has about a week to decide whether or not to declare for the draft.  Andrew Wiggins still could end up in Chapel Hill, Tallahassee, or somewhere outside of the ACC.  With the recent high school All-America games taking place, it seems like a good time to take a look at the...
