The Badgers were at it again. After winning a tough jump ball with 5 seconds left to play, Wisconsin had a chance to win in regulation against Penn State. It was tied 60-60, and the Badgers would have to go the length of the court to score and avoid overtime.
Traevon Jackson took the inbounds pass and dribbled up the floor — just before time expired, Jackson pulled up for about a 27-footer, and pandemonium ensued.
Here’s a video:
It’s just too bad there is a shot clock, otherwise Wisconsin would win every game 3-0.

BEST OF MAXIM
3.3 seconds to play. Tie game. Full length of the court to go. Traevon Jackson don't care.
In a game that seemed to be bound to be a disaster for the Badgers, Traevon Jackson made yet another clutch shot, this one to avoid overtime and help UW escape with a win.
Jackson goes the length of the floor in 3.3 seconds and pulls up from NBA range- nothing but net. The #22 ranked...
As Badger fans we've seen our fair share of crazy games and late game heroics under Bo Ryan, but this season will be remembered for two of the best all-time finishes in school history thanks to Traevon Jackson's heroics in Sunday's 63-60 victory over Penn State in Happy Valley.
While it wasn't all pretty for the Badgers they did get an all around effort on the...
Wisconsin Badgers' Traevon Jackson hit another game-winning, buzzer-beating shot to stun Penn State.
Traevon Jackson made a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer and finished with 15 points, and No. 22 Wisconsin survived an upset scare from Penn State to win its regular-season finale 63-60 Sunday.
The Badgers (21-10, 12-6 Big Ten) went the length of the court with less than 4 seconds left. Jackson pulled up at the wing and made the 3 over the outstretched arm of Kevin Montminy.
MADISON, Wis. Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan was named Big Ten Coach of the Year by the league's media members and coaches on Monday.
Ryan claimed the honor for the third time in his 12-year career at Wisconsin and first since 2002-03. He won Big Ten championships in his first two seasons with the Badgers to earn Coach of the Year honors on both occasions.
Ryan surprisingly led the...
Traevon Jackson scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half, including eight in the last 3:41. None were bigger than his 3-pointer at the buzzer to save No.22 Wisconsin with a 63-60 victory over Penn State in the regular season finale.
If you've been paying attention to championship week (and you should be) then you've already seen your share of buzzer beaters. However, the Big Ten hasn't seen a ton of them at all this year, but there's one team becoming adept at doing it and that's the Wisconsin Badgers.
We all remember Ben Brust's magic over Michigan and on Sunday it was...
STATE COLLEGE, PA. - It was ugly and average, but No.22 Wisconsin got the job done thanks to Traevon Jackson's buzzer-beating 3-pointer, clinching a top four finish in the Big Ten for the 13th straight year. Badger Nation hands out the grades.
This offseason marked the first time since the 1980s that Wisconsin had to go through a true coaching search. Athletic Director Barry Alvarez took...
MADISON, Wis. New coaching staff. New uniforms. Same quarterback questions.
As Wisconsin's football team begins the Gary Andersen era, one debate that hasn't simmered from the Bret Bielema days concerns which quarterback will emerge as the starter.
Will it be Curt Phillips? Joel Stave? Danny O'Brien? Or someone else?
All three players started at least three games...
It's been a fun trip through the roster heading into spring, but as the saying goes - we've saved the best for last. That's because we've saved the quarterbacks for last.
No doubt we don't have to tell you about the disaster that was the quarterback position last year, right? I don't think any of us will forget what happened with Danny O'Brien, Joel...
The lack of production from the wide receiver position in 2012 may have had many reasons. It could've been the inconsistency of having three different quarterbacks, it could've been the inconsistency of the offensive line early on that led to a lack of time to allow players to get open. However, the most likely case is that there just was a simple lack of ability to get open...
FINAL: Penn State 60 Wisconsin 63 Penn State fell to 10-20 (2-16) after Wisconsin’s Traevon Jackson (son of Jim Jackson) hit a three pointer at the end of the game to give the Badgers the lead. Penn State led for most of the game until midway through the second half, when Wisconsin took a small…
