The Victory Formation:
I was thinking they may have shown up late for the game like the team, but alas they did not.
Barely half of their section was filled, as you can see. Not sure why. This is a blueblood program playing in the National Title game and in New Orleans of all places! Oh well, would have been a long sad trip back to Kansas.

On January 21, 2011, 20-year old Kansas Jayhawks forward Thomas Robinson became an orphan after his mother, Lisa, died of a heart attack at age 43.
Now, Robinson had no choice, but to play his sophomore year wrought by personal tragedy, after the All-American had lost his grandmother, his grandfather, and his mother all within three weeks of each other.
It would’ve come as no...
Kansas' Bill Self has been named the 2012 Naismith Men's College Basketball Coach of the Year, the school announced on Sunday.
"Bill has done a remarkable coaching job this season and deserves all the accolades that come his way," said Eric Oberman, executive director of the Atlanta Tipoff Club, which presents the honor. "There's always something special...
Forget John Calipari’s rent-a-players waltzing to the NCAA Championship. They’ll all be gone next year, and Calipari will have a new group of Kentucky one-and-dones next year. What will linger like a brochili-cheese fart is the “performance” of the National Anthem by The Fray.
By the time the NCAA forces Kentucky to vacate...
Tyshawn Taylor admitted he believes things happen for a reason. The way Kansas keeps finding ways to win, most fans of the Jayhawks probably believe the same thing.
A program with as much tradition as anybody has taken on a scrappy underdog mentality during the NCAA tournament, scratching and clawing its way to the national title game.
The Jayhawks play heavy favorite Kentucky...
The big game is tonight – If Kansas wins, the world is going to exposed to all types of Bill Self jokes, merchandise, etc. in support of his excellent coaching job this season.
As for me, I’m not a huge fan of this one. I think we can do better people, and I expect better if Kansas wins.
So it all comes down to 1 game. Kentucky and Kansas for the 2012 NCAA Basketball National Title. It should be a great battle tonight at 9:23 pm on CBS between two of the best teams in the country. Kentucky has been the #1 team in the country for the majority of the season while Kansas has jumped around in the polls, being as high as #3 during the regular season. Kansas comes into...
NEW ORLEANS - The Atlanta Tipoff Club gives its voters plenty of time to determine its award winners in college basketball. That might have paid off for Kansas coach Bill Self, who was named the Naismith Coach of the Year on Sunday.
Anthony Davis was joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Doron Lamb, along with Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor of Kansas.
It seems like during the NCAA tournament, Bill Self is always at heightened risk to choke. For Kansas fans who may not wish an ill fate upon their coach and any other compassionate human beings, here is what to when Self inevitably begins to choke.
NEW ORLEANS – Conner Teahan looked around the Kansas locker Monday night after the Jayhawks lost the national championship game and suddenly the crystal ball came into sharp focus. The senior guard from Leawood, Kan., knew it was the end of something special.
