When ESPN announced it's matchups for the Big Ten/ACC Challenge it was hard to contain the inner college basketball geek in me. I mean, getting matchups like UNC vs. Michigan State and Indiana vs. Syracuse is about as good as it gets for the challenge for it's 15th anniversary edition.
Those are just two examples of some great matchups and after the two conferences...

Maryland sophomore center Alex Len has decided to enter the NBA draft.
After an uneven freshman season with the Terrapins, the 7-foot-1 player averaged 11.9 points and 7.8 rebounds in 2012-13. He led the Atlantic Coast Conference with 78 blocked shots.
The Ukraine native is expected to be a top-10 pick in the June 27 draft.

Alex Len had 23 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in Maryland's 69-72 loss to Kentucky.

The 7-foot-2 Ukrainian is light years ahead of where he was this time last November. His coach, Mark Turgeon, says Len is a completely different player.
Len is a different person, too.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- Media days are always filled with optimism. Regardless of where teams are picked to finish, players don't buy in and don't mind saying so.
But the degree of positivity in the air at ACC Media Day at the Ritz-Carlton on Wednesday was different than in recent years. And it was sincere and legitimate, too.
Not that coaches and players have blown smoke in...
