Florida basketball’s freshman class has been cut in half over the last week. Five days after point guard Braxton Ogbueze announced that he would transfer from the program, freshmen forward DeVon Walker also announced his intentions to depart, leaving the freshman class with just Michael Frazier and Dillon Graham.
One day after Rutgers transfer guard Eli Carter announced his intentions to continue his college career in Gainesville, Florida guard Braxton Ogbueze announced his intentions to transfer from the program. Ogbueze was used sparingly during his freshman season last year and will transfer to find more playing time at another school.
The point guard position in Gainesville is in good hands next season. Scottie Wilbekin experienced his breakout last year and returns for his senior season, and Braxton Ogbueze heads into his sophomore year at the position. The Gators will also add a top-ten overall talent with Kasey Hill at point guard. Wilbekin proved capable of handling the position, but the Gators will have depth this year.
The freshmen kind of stole the show Thursday night. Florida will be looking for some depth for the 2012-2013 basketball season and the Florida freshmen look to provide just that. Michael Frazier is highlighted a bunch as well as a bit from Braxton Ogbueze, DeVon Walker, and Dillon Graham. There looks to be no lack of three pointers falling in the O'Dome this year if these clips mean anything.
