Bone: 'Very slim chance' Motum plays Monday
WASHINGTON STATE COACH Ken Bone is not giving up hope that his best player will be able to compete in the best-of-three College Basketball Invitational championship series that begins at 7 p.m. Monday against Pittsburgh (TV: HDNet) at Friel Court. Bone said during his Saturday teleconference that junior center Brock Motum has not been ruled out against the Panthers.

BROCK MOTUM FILLED up the basket like he had never done before -- alas, Wazzu's defense cancelled it out. In the 71-67 loss to ASU, the Cougars allowed the Sun Devils to shoot 54.5 percent from the field and 46.7 from beyond the arc. You're just not going to win many games in the Pac-12 with that kind of D, even when your star player goes for 30-plus.
