Delaware defeated William & Mary by a final score of 75-74 to win the 2014 CAA Tournament. Jarvis Threatt was named tournament MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Carl Baptiste, Devon Saddler, Brandon Britt, Scott Eatherton and Marcus Thornton.
Carl Baptiste scored a career-high 24 points, including a go-ahead layup with 10 seconds left, and Delaware squeezed past William & Mary 75-74 Monday night to win the Colonial Athletic Association championship and earn a berth in the NCAA tournament.
Carl Baptiste had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Delaware remained unbeaten in conference play Saturday with a 74-70 victory over Northeastern. Delaware (12-7, 4-0 Colonial Athletic Association) led 69-61 with 56 seconds left after Devon Saddler made 1 of 2 free throws to cap an 8-0 run.
