Clark Kellogg on Indiana player: “He’s packed like a box of fried rice”
Clark Kellogg is one of the most descriptive sports announcers on TV.When describing Indiana’s freshmen forward, Hanner Mosquera-Perea, who was making his debut with the Hoosiers, Kellog said he’s “packed like a box of fried rice. He’s tight!”An audience on a cooking show may expect to hear something like this but certainly not one watching basketball.
Notebook: Indiana preparing to blend in Mosquera-Perea, Jurkin
Indiana’s front line could receive a significant boost in Saturday’s game with Butler when freshmen Hanner Mosquera-Perea and Peter Jurkin will be eligible to play for the first time after serving a nine-game suspension from the NCAA.
With the Hoosiers sitting at 9-0 and No. 1 in the country while playing at a high level, it sounds as if both guys could be worked slowly into...

The NCAA’s Suspensions Of Two Indiana Basketball Players Is Kind Of Crazy
Two freshmen on Indiana’s #1 ranked basketball team, 6’8″ forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea and 7’0″ center Peter Jurkin, have each been suspended nine games by the NCAA. Why? Their former AAU coach/legal guardian donated $185 to Indiana 20 years ago, and apparently the NCAA counts that as receiving impermissible benefits. I’m not joking.
Tom Crean reacts to Jurkin, Mosquera-Perea ruling
Indiana coach Tom Crean joined SiriusXM’s “Inside College Basketball” show Tuesday evening and talked to Jeff Goodman and Bruce Pearl about the suspensions of Peter Jurkin and Hanner Mosquera-Perea.
His comments are below.
On the facts of the case, specifically Mark Adams being labeled a booster for donations from 1986-1992: “The facts are pretty self-explanatory when you...
