Injuries, All-Stars, and Futures
It’s a bit of a basketball round-up.
First up, J.J. Moore got injured over the weekend playing pick-up basketball.
Pitt sophomore forward J.J. Moore will undergo surgery for a fractured fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot after suffering the injury in a pickup game Friday.
The injury takes three months to heal.

Washington State falls to Pitt 57-53 in CBI
Washington State's sharp shooting didn't make the long trip across country to the Petersen Events Center with the Cougars, and now they'll spend a few more days in Pittsburgh than they hoped.

Pitt beat Wofford if anybody cares
After last night’s CBI opener, JJ Moore said that Pitt’s true fans showed up to support them. Well, I guess I hate Pitt then because there was no way in hell I was going down to the Pete to watch them play a school called Wofford in a tournament sponsored by Zebra Pen.

Turnovers plague Pitt in final Backyard Brawl
This is a tough game to write about. Not just because of the frustration that has become commonplace with this team's performances this season, but because there is almost nothing positive to point to. I suppose JJ Moore played well, scoring 10 off the bench. And Malcolm Gilbert played adequately in increased minutes due to Zanna and Taylor's foul troubles.
