The NCAA’s Suspensions Of Two Indiana Basketball Players Is Kind Of Crazy

Two freshmen on Indiana’s #1 ranked basketball team, 6’8″ forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea and 7’0″ center Peter Jurkin, have each been suspended nine games by the NCAA. Why? Their former AAU coach/legal guardian donated $185 to Indiana 20 years ago, and apparently the NCAA counts that as receiving impermissible benefits. I’m not joking.
