UM Hoops Podcast 1.3: ESPN’s Myron Medcalf and Stu Douglass
It took us a while to get going after the break, but Dave Merritt and I finally got in the studio to record a new podcast. We had a good time and got to talk Michigan’s loss to Ohio State on Sunday as well as look ahead to the Wolverines’ match-up with Minnesota at The Barn. Here’s a quick rundown:
We kick off by talking with ESPN.com national college basketball writer Myron...

Can you update us on the start of your pro career? Where are you living? Who are you playing for? What’s the makeup of the team? What is your expected role?

With an Ohio State win, Michigan would claim part of a 3-way tie for the Big 10 championship, their first such title since 1986.

Gym rats make Blue cool again
Despite growing up in the basketball hotbed state of Indiana, neither Stu Douglass nor Zack Novak received a scholarship offer from any Big Ten school other than Michigan.
Douglass was ranked merely as a two-star prospect by Scout.com. Novak wasn't even ranked that high.
But here they are, about to play in their final home game for the Wolverines Saturday night against Purdue...

The Anatomy of a Shooting Slump: Stu Douglass
It’s no secret that Stu Douglass is struggling to find his shooting stroke this season. His stroke looks pure, calm and confident but the ball is not finding the bottom of the net.
Douglass is shooting just 28 percent from three point range and has failed to make two threes in a row this season. Ignoring caveats about sample size, the numbers are ugly and there’s no denying...
