Kent State not facing adversity well
There is some good news about the Golden Flashes, but it has nothing to do with how they are playing.
Kent State's next two games are against Toledo and Northern Illinois, the two worst teams in the Mid-American Conference. That's the lone positive for the Golden Flashes, who have not only lost their last two games, but have done so in embarrassing fashion.

Kent St. 90, Shawnee St. 65
Justin Greene and Carlton Guyton scored 15 points each as Kent State pulled away for a 90-65 victory over Shawnee State on Monday night.
An 8-0 run, which included five points by Eric Gaines, gave the Golden Flashes (10-3) a 36-25 lead with 3:13 remaining in the first half and they led 44-31 at halftime.
Kent State pushed its lead to 20 points, 59-39, with 14:04 left in the game...

Randal Holt scored 13 points and Chris Evans added 12 to lead Kent State to a 57-48 win over Alabama-Birmingham on Saturday night.
Michael Porrini finished with 11 points and Justin Greene scored 10 points but had a game-high eight turnovers for the Golden Flashes (5-1), who have won three straight games. Greene also made all six of his free throws and had four steals.

Kent State rallies, tops West Virginia (AP)
Carlton Guyton's 17 points led Kent State to a 70-60 victory over West Virginia on Tuesday, snapping the Mountaineers' 36-game non-conference home winning streak. That streak dated back to Nov. 26, 2005, when the Mountaineers lost 71-68 in overtime to LSU. Randal Holt had 13 points, and Justin Greene added 12 in the Golden Flashes' first game of the season.
