Houston Texans: Brian Cushing video
Mark Sanchez is so dreamy even Brian Cushing gets questions about him.
PS: This video includes my favorite moment of the draft so far. Maybe 45 or 30
seconds before the end. Some still photographer pushes his way in front
of a few people shooting video, and when I used my foot to gently speak
for me, as in, "Yo, get out of the way," he didn't take to it too

2009 Draft Wrap Up
The 2009 Draft has come and gone and it looks like this one will fall in line with what we have come to expect from Rick Smith and Gary Kubiak and that is a very strong Houston Texans draft class.
There was little suspense when the Texans selected USC LB Brian Cushing with the 15th pick [...]
One LB Down, Two to Go...
OLB Brian Cushing was the first of the big three (Cushing, Maualuga and Matthews) to be selected, 15th overall by Houston. The Texans needed some help on the defensive side of the ball as the team ranked 27th in the NFL in points allowed per game (24.6), and 22nd in yards per game (336.6) in 2008. This is good news all around, except for the guy that wrote the "why Clay Matthews...

Houston makes Brian Cushing the first USC linebacker selected
Get used to hearing Goodell introducing USC linebackers today.
With the 15th pick, the Houston Texans made the “North Jersey Meathead”, Brain Cushing, the first of three USC linebackers who could be picked in the first round.
Cushing Talks to the Media After the Draft
(on being picked): “Around 12, 13, 14 you get a little nervous right there but you know the Houston Texans called up with an unfamiliar area code and my agent told me that Houston was going to pick me so I was just thrilled.”
(on playing with Mario Williams): “He’s a pretty good player. There [...]

USC First Rounders Plagued by Facial Pox
Read into this how you will, but I pointed out on Saturday that USC/Texans linebacker Brian Cushing appeared to have an outbreak of chicken pox at Radio City Music Hall on draft day.He wasn't the only one. Mark Sanchez also appeared to have some sort of pox-like scars on his handsome face.
Some More NFL Draft Notes
Drew Rosenhaus did not have a single player taken
in the first-round of this draft (he does represent the first pick of
the 2nd round, Louis Delmas). When’s the last time there was a
Rosenhaus-free first round? I’m sure he kept himself very busy during
the first-round, anyway.Michael Mitchell, the biggest surprise of Day 1,
who was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the...
