The Red River Rivalry has been a bit one sided for quite a while now. In fact Oklahoma has been so dominant as of late that Texas has been called into question about where their program is headed. Texas has only managed to win four out of the last twelve battles in the rivalry. That may sound pretty good but when you consider how dominant Texas has been through the years it sounds odd coming from that program. A lot is at stake for both teams. Each team must keep pace with West Virginia and Kansas St. A loss almost guarantees that a shot at the Big 12 title is out of the question. Big time quarterbacks lead explosive offenses into the game. Both Oklahoma and Texas have defenses that are able to get after the quarterback as well. Landry Jones is balling again this year and he has been impressive most games.
