Still months before the Draft and with the NFL Combine around the corner, former Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree has been arrested on DUI charges.With alcohol-related issues already a problem in the NFL, this was not a good time to get involved with the law.Ogletree is projected to go as high as a top 10 pick after his standout career with the Bulldogs.During the 2012 season Ogletree missed the first four games of the season due to a failed drug test, but still managed to make 84 combined tackles, two sacks, one interception, and one defended pass. He had a huge game against Nebraska in the Capitol One Bowl for Georgia, combining for 13 tackles and making one sack in the Bulldogs' 45-31 win.This makes the second time Ogletree has had a run-in with the law in as many years after an arrest stemming from charges being filed on him over a stolen scooter helmet. He was suspended by the Bulldogs for that incident.According to records, Ogltree was pulled over in Arizona after he was speeding and a lane violation when an officer smelled alcohol. After multiple field sobriety tests, the officer felt it necessary to cite Ogletree with a DUI charge.The 2012 season started the same way with players being arrested on multiple charges stemming from being alcohol-related to domestic charges. If the 2013 off season goes the same direction then the players are going to force commissioner Roger Goodell to enforce harsher penalties. The arrest rate involving football players is out of control.
