With prospects like Michael Williams of Alabama, Jordan Reed of Florida, Ryan Otten of San Jose State, and many more talented seniors, the tight end class is already shaping up to be a deep group. Combine that with other juniors yet to declare, and this class could play right into the NFL's desire to incorporate tight ends more in the offense. Adding to that is a mild surprise entry, as San Diego State's Gavin Escobar has entered the 2013 NFL Draft, according to Tony Pauline of Sports Illustrated. And he'll have to sell NFL teams that HE'S the high upside tight end for some NFL team.   The team's leading receiver by quite a large margin, both in receptions and yards, Escobar became more than just a seam stretching target and a red zone threat this season, despite double, triple, and consistent bracket coverage.  The athletic, 6'6, 255 pound tight end that can do a bit of everything, Escobar works in-line as well as being moved around the formation. He has great size and the frame to bulk up further if the team hopes to keep him in line and further develop his already adequate blocking ability. The athletic seam catcher as of now is in the 2nd round discussion, but he'll have a lot of work to do with established tight ends already in the class and more juniors likely to declare. Still, he has the upside thanks to his size, high point ability, and physicality versus linebacker to really intrigue teams, maybe even as high as the Top 50.
