Out of all the core positions in the upcoming NFL Draft, it could be argued only one has a consensus top-ranked prospect: tight end. Notre Dame's Tyler Eifert has distinguished himself, through both game film and offseason workouts, as being head and shoulders above the rest of the tight end class. But divining a landing spot in the NFL for the 6'6", 250-pound Eifert isn't easy. Tight end is a position that isn't usually as highly valued as others, so a consensus #1 tight end won't necessarily crack the top 10, or even the top half, of the first round. But there are tea leaves to be read, and five potential good fits emerge for Eifert.

The Falcons are entering another draft needing a quality tight end. While we have had Tony Gonzalez since 2009, our birds have lacked a replacement or even complement-quality tight end. Outside of Gonzalez, Thomas Dimitroff has relied upon UDFAs and free agents to fill in our tight end position.
Like I say every year, this is the year Atlanta drafts a tight end. I&...

In college football, unlike most other sports across the nation, the weekly rankings matter a great deal. There is no NCAA Tournament (though thankfully we are moving to a four-team playoff soon) that allows the players to decide it all on the field, meaning a margin of one or two spots in a poll can be the deciding factor as to whether...
