He is a very talented two-sport athlete, playing both basketball and football for Avon High School. After being officially offered by the Gophers on April 24, he committed only three days later. He will officially visit the school on June 8 during the program's annual "Summer Splash" event.
The Avon, Ind., native is a very raw prospect with intriguing long-term tools for defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere III to develop.
Atewogbola joins six other players committed to the Gophers' 2025 class. 247Sports ranks the group as the 48th best in the country.
